3-Day Fes Desert Tour to Marrakech

Travel from Fes to Marrakech over 3 unforgettable days, crossing the Middle Atlas cedar forests, the Ziz Valley oasis and the golden dunes of the Sahara before arriving in Marrakech.

Tour Program

Day 1 – Fes to Merzouga

Depart Fes early morning.

Cross the Middle Atlas cedar forests, look out for Barbary macaques.

Stop in Ifrane, the "Switzerland of Morocco".

Continue via Midelt and the Ziz Valley palm oasis.

Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon.

Sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Dinner and overnight in a traditional desert camp.

Day 2 – Merzouga to Todra Gorge to Dades Valley

Wake up early for sunrise over the dunes.

Camel ride back and breakfast at the hotel.

Visit a local Berber family and a nomad house.

Drive to the dramatic Todra Gorge for a short walk.

Continue through the Dades Valley, the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs".

Overnight in Dades or Ouarzazate area.

Day 3 – Dades Valley to Marrakech

Morning drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

Stop in Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Morocco".

Visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n-Tichka pass.

Arrival in Marrakech in the evening.
